The Person Behind the Words
Hi, I'm Amber. Here you'll encounter the words that have spilled from my mind...whether I wanted them to or not.
While creating poetry will always be my heart, storytelling is my ever-present need. My favorite genres to write are crime thrillers, psychological horror, dystopian, and post-apocalyptic.
I read all genres. Bukowski, Plath, Tolstoy, & Flaubert all have special chunks of my heart.
You'll find pieces of everything in my books, and I hope they touch your soul in a way not soon forgotten. I hope they leave a mark.

FIRST CHANCE
Ivy Chance Series: Prequel

One verdict destroyed her future. One choice changed it forever.
Before Key West. Before the FBI. Before the Coral Killer…Ivy Chance was a young attorney, a grieving widow, and the mother of a little girl who deserved better than the justice system had to offer.
When her husband’s killer walks free, Ivy makes the decision that will define the rest of their lives.
First Chance is the unforgettable prequel to the Ivy Chance series, proving that sometimes justice begins only after the verdict is read.
HIDDEN CHANCE
Ivy Chance Series: Book 1
A new home. A new start. A deadly welcome.
Transferring to the Key West Violent Crimes Unit was supposed to be a fresh start for FBI Special Agent Ivy Chance and her four-year-old daughter after her husband was murdered in cold blood.
A tropical refuge.
A place to heal.
Turns out, paradise is lethal.
The seemingly peaceful waters of the Florida Keys harbor a macabre underwater graveyard. Men and women wearing flowing white garments float like ghosts in the currents above a coral reef.
The killer is precise.
Methodical.
Reverent toward the ocean, yet utterly indifferent to human life.
When the Coral Killer strikes again, it’s time for Ivy Chance to sink or swim. Balancing single motherhood, buried grief, and a new partner, Ivy must stop a murderer whose rituals grow bolder with every victim.
The tide is rising, the bodies are multiplying, and the water is closing in.
